Richard Dulong's Notarial Contracts

The following notarial contracts and legal papers involve Richard Dulong.
They are in chronological order. By reading even these short summaries,
you will get a sense of what life must have been like for Richard. Eventually,
I hope to provide even more detailed information from these documents
for you to consider. Unless otherwise noted, I have photocopies of all
these contracts from the Archives nationales du Québec at Montréal.

diocese of Lizieux [sic], to Jean-Baptiste-Nicolas-Roch de Ramesay,
écuyer [squire], seigneur [lord] de Sorel, Captain in a company
of the detachment of Marine, of the village of Montréal, rue Notre

Lastly, after the Conquest of Canada, Richard was included on a list
of petitioners desiring that that the French government exchange their
French bills due them. He claimed to have 8,429 livres in value of such
bills on 27 May 1763. However, he was only reimbursed for a value of
5,049 livres on 1 June 1763. See: "Les Ordnonnances et Lettres
