I don't mind joking about UM and MSU.  I know MSU is superior and the UM
people desperately claim that UM is better, poor deluded people.  My heart
goes out to them.

It is just too bad Mr. Burton did not donate his collection to either UM,
MSU, WSU, or just about any other university in Michigan.  However, he was
very committed to the Detroit Public Library and believed in it.  He would
be truly saddened by the turn of events.
