Subject: [BHC] DPL Family History Festival

OK, since I did not attend the Family History Festival at the Detroit Public
Library on the 30th, I am wondering how did it go?  Was it a well attended
event?  Were the speakers good?  What was your opinion of the event?  Should
they do it again next year?  Was the Burton Historical Collection
accessible?  I would like to hear some feedback from those of you who
attended this event.  Thanks.

OK, I have heard from several of you now and it sounds like the Family
History Festival was an overall success.  There were about 300 attendees.
The speakers were good.  

 

I congratulate Mark Patrick, the Burton staff, and anyone else responsible
for the festival for pulling off a good event.  This is a great first step
towards improving the situation.
