To cover my tush -

1) Not everything is cross referenced - in some cases it is laziness, or tiredness, or overlooked, or (which keeps happening a lot) a "senior moment".

2) I have tried to list and cross reference all sites if they have between one and four surnames which they are promoting, otherwise I have put some sites under "numerous" where there are more surnames then I want to list because - in some cases it is laziness, or tiredness, or overlooked, or (which keeps happening a lot) a "senior moment".

3) This is, I am sure only a partial list and I welcome additions & corrections.  It includes French-Canadian and Acadian/Cajun surnames.  Some sites indicate the majority of the families may be metis and these are listed is a separate category, unless it is only a few names, then they are listed under the surname.  Again any errors may be caused by - laziness, or tiredness or overlooked or (which keeps happening a lot) a "senior moment".

4) I have not listed ROOTSWEB or GENFORUM as both these site are easily searchable by surname and no doubt you can find message boards, mailing lists or family trees

5) Most of the sites I visited to gleam these webpages are sadly out of date.  All these webpages are good as of the last 7 days, that is they come up when you click on the URL, however, not all the webpages have been maintained and may no longer have a webmaster, this is not something I have checked because - in some cases it is laziness, or tiredness, or overlooked, or (which keeps happening a lot) a "senior moment", or in most cases too time consuming.

6) This is not an endorsement of the websites, just a listing.  Also I cannot guarantee the accuracy of the data presented.
