I attended John's presentation. I would like to request that he repeat it for an FCHSM meeting in the future. It is a good synthesis of the current state of French-Canadian genealogical research that many can profit from hearing.
   
  Thanks, John. Although I knew all of the details you presented, you pulled them together in a valuable format... and it is ready to be presented to others in your Power Point program and your handout available on our website.

    John P. DuLong, president of FCHSM, will speak, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.,  at the Local History Conference at Wayne State University in Detroit.  His topic will be "Developments in French-Canadian Genealogical Research."  If this is the only conference you will be going to, it is possible you will not have to pay to attend.  Indicate that you are a guest of the DSGR.  However, if you plan to attend other sessions, you will have to pay the registration fee.
