[FCHSM] 2007 Officers

Hello Folks,

 

Yesterday's meeting was a little hectic and we did not take the time to
properly install the officers for 2007, so let me do it by email.  The
following people "won" our election and will serve in 2007:

 

Suzanne Sommerville, Vice President

Judy Cartier, Recording Secretary

Michele Silvers, Corresponding Secretary

Loraine DiCerbo, Registrar

Rosemary Kirt, Treasurer

Sherry Somerset, Program Chair

 

Please join me in thanking these people for serving.

 

Note that I was not on the ballot for President, but apparently my name was
written in by several of you, so I have reluctantly agreed to serve as
President in 2007, but I will not be very active.

 

Most of your officers have been involved with the Society for years.  We
need some new people to step forward and help out by running for offices and
serving on committees.

 

Specifically, I would like three volunteers to step forward to form a
Nominating Committee for 2007.  I would like to see a slate of officers
ready by August that does NOT include me as president.  Please contact me if
you want to be on the Nominating Committee.  Keep in mind that the nice
thing about serving on the Nominating Committee is that you will not
normally be called upon to run for election as an officer!
