I am posting this message for a friend - if anyone can add anything, let me know, Jim.

" Hello everyone
I need some help. Several years ago when I bought my copy of the CD of the records of St. Anne's at Mackinac Island; I thought I had found the mother of our Antoine Pearo born Detroit (according to his military papers) 20 Nov 1860 and his two brothers, Henry George, bn Detroit 22 Feb 1864 and Louis Jr. bn. Michigan (where?) May 1868. The marriage record had her as Clara Willaert. Clara was also baptised the same day as the marriage and it listed her parents as Joseph Willaert and Maria Well. The marriage took place 10 Jan 1853. No other mention of this couple in the records of St. Anne's until 03 Sep 1857 when they appear as godparents for Louis Antoine Davenport son of Henry Davenport and Julia Perrault. Julia is a sister to Louis mentioned above. I always thought it was strange that this couple had married in 1853, yet there were no mention of children born to them until Antoine's birth in 1860, 7 years later. I had suspected that there may have been another wife, but could not find another marriage or even a death for Clara for that matter. Up until a couple months ago, Louis and his wife disappeared from the face of the earth or so I thought, until 1870 when he shows up residing at Marquette Township, with two of his sons, Antoine and George (Henry). His wife and youngest son, Louis Jr. do not appear in the household. So where are they? With the help of ancestry.com and their addition of St. Anne of Detroit records online, I searched and found baptisms for both Antoine and Henry.

Angeline (whatever er last name is) is certainly the mother. However, checking marriages at both St. Annes Mackinac and Detroit from mid 1857 to 1861; I find no marriage for Louis Perrault to Angeline. Nothing for a death of Clara. No record at Detroit for the bap of 3rd son Louis Jr.
I need to find the marriage record. Please help. Sometime between 1857 and 1861, this couple was married, but where?
Cindy"
