The Clarke Historical Library will sponsor a talk titled "A Voyageur's
Life," on Wednesday April 9, 2008, at 7:00 p.m. in the auditorium of the
Park Library at CMU. The noted re-enactor, Tim Kent, will speak in
costume about the life of a typical French trader living in Michigan in
the 1700s. Following the presentation there will be a reception in the
Clarke Historical Library, where you can explore "When the French
Claimed Michigan, 1608-1763," the Library's new exhibit. Please RSVP to
the Dean's office by calling 989 774 3500, or via email at
cole1se at cmich.edu. This event is free and open to the public.
