I grew up in Norther Lower Michigan - Mackinaw City (Cheboygan and Emmit
Counties)

There were a lot of Charbonneau living in Cheboygan Michigan at the time.
Cheboygan was about 15 miles south of Mackinaw on lake Huron side - also in
Cheboygan county.

Interesting, one of the other MMGS members is also researching SHARBONO
(CHARBONNEAU), I will pass the message along to her. I do not know where
her people settled.

 Hi all,

I will be making a trip to Burton, Saturday, April 5th. Our local
genealogy group of about 30 some people will be going there to do
research. I hope some of you will be there to say hello. I especially
hope someone from the Society will be there to pick up a box of books for
 the Society library.

Also would like to talk to anyone & compare notes on the royal & nobel
lineages of the Joyeuse & Barbancon families (ancestors of the Amiot
immigrant ancestor - am having a great time researching those).

Also if anyone is researching the LALONDE/LALANDE, TREMBLAY or MELOCHE
families as well as any Michigan metis/Indian or Miami metis/Indian
families, I would bring some of that material also if you let me know.

 Thanks, Jim LaLone
