Hello Folks,

 

I just wanted to let you know that I updated our Society’s webpages at
http://fchsm.habitant.org <http://fchsm.habitant.org/>  with our meetings
for 2009 under the Meetings button.  I also posted our newly revised By-Laws
under the Documents button.

 

Regarding meetings, I would like to point out that I will be speaking on
Sunday 16 November 2008 – 2:00 p.m., "Michigan's Other French Canadians: The
Second Wave," part of "A Journey of Hope: Michigan's Immigrant Experience"
series of lectures, at The Albert L. Lorenzo Cultural Center, Macomb
Community College, 44575 Garfield, Clinton Twp. For more information point

Also, make sure you mark your calendar for the important joint meeting on
Saturday 14 March 2009 – 2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m., Detroit Public Library,
Explorer's Room, "Les Habitants de Détroit, 1701-1763," presented by Gail F.
Moreau-DesHarnais. This will be a joint meeting with the Detroit Society for
Genealogical Research at the Detroit Public Library.
