[FCHSM] Monument Dedication

Mark Your Calendars! The dedication of our monument in memory of the Ste. Anne de Detroit burials transferred to Mt. Elliott Cemetery in 1869 (See page 91.) will take place at Mt. Elliott at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, 24 July 2010. As plans are still in progress, watch for further announcements on the society e-mail list and on our web site. Many of us will then attend the Ste. Anne de Detroit French Night novena later that day. Plan to join us! Anyone wishing to donate to the cost of this monument may send a check to FCHSM, P. O. Box 1900, Royal Oak, MI 48068-1900. Please be sure to indicate ON THE CHECK that the donation is for the Cemetery Project. Any amount is welcome. The IRS requires that we issue receipts for donations of $250 or more. Those contributing less should maintain their own records if they wish to claim a tax deduction for a donation to a 501 (C) (3) organization. The names of all contributors will be listed in a memorial
 booklet. The deadline to be included in the booklet is 1 July 2010. Our thanks in advance to those of you who are willing to give as individuals to this FCHSM project to remember our ancestors and the founding families of Detroit.
